Farmers - enemy #1

You and I know that mega farms are pushing the little down home guys out of business, Surge. Even the farmers in my area are now selling off their farms due to pressure from the big guys and the fact their kids won't be able to afford the taxes on the farmland when they pass it down to them. What used to be the back bone of our country has now been fractured and the spine cut.

Family farms and manufacturing... those were the things that made America run. I think selling out our own people in exchange for profit was the first link in a chain that has led to our sad state today.

Have a small farmer who lives nearby who opened up a little market. He got pushed out of business by all the regs around here. Have a good friend who owns a country market who has to jump thro hoops just to sell animal feed, straw and hay, and fresh eggs. She has the board of health running around her place at least once a month. She's never been cited for a thing, but still they return. :rolleyes:
