Glad that progress is being made.

It's such a shame. The Columbia River Gorge is a huge attraction for Oregon and Washington. It is just beautiful to drive along the river there. The old highway rand parallel with I-84 and has access to a bunch of hiking trails, waterfalls, etc. and the Multnomah Falls Lodge was threatened as well. It was finished in 1925.

This is Multnomah Falls which is behind the Lodge. You can hike to the bridge you see in the photo, and if you're really inclined, you can hike all the way to the top.

Firefighters worked hard to keep the Lodge safe.
