The are different interpretations of this song.
I suppose it depends on one's life experiences.
I read the lyrics as saying " I wish that I could re-live a time, a moment when a loved one was with us.
Note: This is an outstanding composition and recording, in my opinion. Lots of dynamic range in this song. Don't crank it up too loud.
