Hacked radio station reports zombie attack and disease outbreak in Randolph County, Indiana

WINCHESTER, Ind. -- An emergency radio broadcast on WZZY 98.3FM in Randolph County reported a zombie attack and disease outbreak in Indiana, but the sheriff's department there says it was the result of the station being hacked.

A post on the Randolph County Sheriff's Department Facebook page cleared up the alleged emergency, saying they have contacted the Indiana Department of Homeland Security regarding the hack.

The sheriff''s department did not provide when the broadcasts were made, but stressed there is no emergency or disease outbreak in the county.

So rest easy, Hoosiers, the zombie apocalypse will have to wait for another day... UNLESS, this is the government trying to cover it up, and then it will escalate to an uncontrollable level before the public knows, which is how most zombie movies start, and then, omg, get your shelters ready, make sure you're armed and PREPARE FOR...

Nope. Just kidding. There are no zombies.

Did you hear or record the broadcast? Send us any audio or video files to wrtvwebstaff@wrtv.com.

Is this like a War of the World Zombie broadcast or just some prankster ? I hope that they find a recorded copy of the broadcast.

Some hacker managed to get into the emergency alert system at the station and broadcast a Zombie attack alert. :alien::ghost:

That's what 'they' want you to think. It's a cover up! Maybe the Russians. Hoosier Russians.
Yeah, that's the ticket.

HA! Yup, we Hoosier's are hiding our Russian comrades in the cornfields in the summer and the supposedly empty silos in the winter!
