Your First Car??

What was your car? Did you inherit a hand me down family car? A clunker you bought through a classified ad? A new car from a well off relative?

1967 Plymouth Fury Sport. Blue. I was a terror on the back roads. At the time, my grandfather owned a used car lot. I got lucky.

Mine was a 1965 Mustang Fastback bought for $800 from a coworker of my Dad's. It had apparently had a hard life, the guy sold it after taking it away from his son after a wreck and a series of speeding tickets. I drove it my last three years in college, it gave up the ghost less than a month after I graduated. I wound up selling it for $250 as a parts car to an Air Force officer.

Mine never looked this good, at least while I owned it.

My father bought me a car much like this one when I started college. Of course it was older and used, but I felt safe in it!
