YARD SALES! GARAGE SALES! RUMMAGE SALES!
MOST PEOPLE HAVE STOPPED AND SHOPPED AT THESE AT LEAST A FEW TIMES.
DO YOU ENJOY "SHOPPING" AT THESE?

WHAT'S THE BEST, OR WORST, ITEM YOU'VE EVER FOUND AND/OR BOUGHT AT ONE?

I’ve never really shopped any but I’ve had three in the past 20 years.

The first one we set up in the garage. We rolled the garage door up just a few minutes before the official start time and people literally stormed in shouting prices for different items. They were like locus with wallets.

It’s a treasure hunt. I love to stop at them. I have found many household items like dishes, yard tool, antiques, etc.

A few years ago I found four framed aviation art prints by a well known aviation artist in a garage sale. They were marked $25 each, but were worth at least $100-$200 per print. They were from a period (modern jets) I don't collect, but I made a point of telling the lady running the sale they were greatly underpriced. Turns out they had been her Dad's, and she knew nothing about aircraft or collectable art prints. As we pulled out she was carrying them back into the house.

I have since educated my daughter on my collection.

I like to buy swimsuits there

you can find great vintage perfumes and tons of great stuff sometimes. We had "Meth-head Patty" in the Park when I moved in..I was quick to get her OUT...she decided she was going to have a yard sale. We do not allow them in the Park so she waited till Jadmom and I went away for the weekend and she dragged an old tire out by the entrance to our Park, rigged some jacked up sign which is giant letters said "ESTATE SALE". LOLOLOLOL Wish I had that photo.... I informed her we were selling the trailer. She was in a rental ,thank GOD . I told her she had 30 days...she managed to stay for 3 months unpaid buy I was very very happy when I watched the cops escort that beeeyatch out and I was taking photos of her "friends" helping her move and they all put jackets over their heads. I guess they were all having a bad hair day.:)

Found this about an hour north of me. A 6" Newtonian telescope, made by the Criterion company in the early 70s. Still in fantastic condition, even the optical surfaces were not trashed as they usually are with older telescopes. The motor drive still works perfectly. I used to drool over the ads for this scope when I was young. As near as I can tell, I'm the third owner. The person I got it from brought it from North Carolina, and said they got it from an uncle who was the original owner.
