I just saw that Friday was Word Nerd Day. OK, so a day late and all, but here we go anyway!

Ahh there is a name for this condition. Yes I am always looking up words when reading and then try to file the info away in the back of my head for the next time I come across them. I just like to learn things; the fact that I hated school is a bit of a mystery though. I think it comes down to learning about what I am interested in not what the teachers thought we should know lol. By the way I play Scrabble weekly with my parents. This is a love I found after retirement when I had the time to spend. Loads of fun and a lot of laughs. Often after a game we look at all the words on the board and see if we're getting a message from the universe, or just if they come together to make any sense. It is an added dimension to the game. Believe it or not we have gotten things that do communicate a cohesive theme. Is it the shared energy and unconsious connection of the players? luck of the draw? messages from beyond? Who knows but it is fun to look at.

Oh, yes! I love learning new words. If I hear an unfamiliar one, I have to look it up.

My new fave is the word 'Liminal.'
