Witness Reports Winged Creature with "Human Proportions" Seen While Traveling through Northeastern Illinois — The Singular Fortean Society

The Singular Fortean Society recently received a report from a witness named Ryan, who said he, his husband, and their friend all saw a winged creature while driving in northeastern Illinois, sometime after 10 p.m., in late July of 2008. According to the email, In July 2008, I was picked up from

This report was so strange because by the description it would not be possible to fly. The body to wing span ratio is just not possible. They also described it as gliding low enough to be seen in the headlights of the car and just above the crops on the field. That sounds very strange. If this was human size with wings just out the length of arms, how could that stay in flight? I’m not saying this isn’t a true account just that it sounds supernatural to me.
