If it were to be something like hormones I'd think we would come across stories like mine all the time.. Think about puberty or bodybuilders on steroids. Maybe Ive unintentionally misdirected you about my age by saying girls. I'm not THAT young. I was in good shape for the job and dont think it made my body grow much.testosterone. combined with the presence of cute girls and the competition of other males can do some odd things to a growin' body.... but being serious im with duke in not hearing of this type thing being a particular phenomena. any other similar happenings to compare to?
hmm, interesting. Thanks for sharing.I was in a life threatening position and a growling voice came out of my mouth, it wasn't mine. I remember this but also my eyes turned and the people threatening fled the scene. I was told about my eyes from a friend who was there and they said they were goat like and scared them more than the people threatening us. Maybe your experience is a completely different thing.
Yea Ive heard about people "gaining" unnatural strength in life or death situations.. Didn't know about the facial and audible changes though.Do we, in stressful situations, open up and channel something? It's been noted that in situations such as a mother lifting a car by herself off her child that they are noted to have facial changes and make guttural sounds. Just a thought here. Or do we revert to our more animal instincts in that moment?
Yea one of my theories would be some kinda protecting animal spirit. Other theories for me would be some kind of possession or a previous life as a cat maybe. The last one might be too far off but eh, who knows.. I think its kinda opposite to my demeanor too. I hate confrontations but I do have a low-key silent strength.I like that theory, like a natural form of protection. I was convinced at the time, and up to now that it was something much worse because it's the total opposite to my usually demeanor.
Yes, I think this might have very well been the caseYou also have to consider this with the eyes:
The fight-or-flight response dilates your pupils, which allows more light to enter your eyes so that you can see your surroundings better. ... When your body initiates the fight-or-flight response, your body is designed to pump out adrenaline and keep your pupils dilated until the threat is gone
This could make it look like your eyes have gone black.
You're fine, no worriesI didn't mean to butt in on Astral's thread but like a lot of subjects on here they trigger memories in me.
Yes, this. You are not butting in. Sharing our experience is how we learn stuff. Others benefit from knowing they are not alone in their event.
well in a way stories like this do come across more often than you think, ever been in a gym, not a hook up gym but a real hard core gym?... ever played a hardcore sport, wrestling, foot ball, battle ball/ push ball.... growls and grunts can come from deep within when faced with pure emotional drive. If it were to be something like hormones I'd think we would come across stories like mine all the time.. I think of myself as young of mind with an old soul. If I know a woman 20 years older than me I still just might address her as girl. As a sigma male I dont feel in competition with other males much. I just joined the grunting for the joke. I wasn't interested in the women at all. At that time I was looking for a very specific type of woman, most likely not one you bump in casually.. Nah Ive got nothing to compare it to.
O yes, reading the replies here I think it's more common than I thought. I didn't know about any stories about this. I've been in a professional powerlifter gym.. didnt hear any tigers there.. I've known dangerous people and no tigers there either.well in a way stories like this do come across more often than you think, ever been in a gym, not a hook up gym but a real hard core gym?... ever played a hardcore sport, wrestling, foot ball, battle ball/ push ball.... growls and grunts can come from deep within when faced with pure emotional drive.
not being confrontational, but by self description of "sigma male" which is the same as describing yourself as alpha male but saying youre an advanced version. lol . is kinda putting yourself in the very hierarchy you are avoiding to begin with...lol.... just another form of the ego being dominate through description. but that is niether here nor there... the fact is that grunts, growls, body posture, etc.. can be a natural or emotional effect due to surroundings and external stimuli... not necessarily paranormal
