I wrote a long book on this but decided to make it short. I met God and he is my best friend, I can be myself and he is always with me guiding me and he is the little voice in the back of my head telling me to beware of my actions and words.
That helps sleep at night being guilt free.
You all on this forum are my friends my old friends from Detroit pursued a different path.

Mrs C is my best friend. Met her when I was 19 through mutual friend in my front yard while I was cleaning my motorcycle.
I can see a hunky young you working on a macho bike ....a great way to pick up a date
Different times and different places create different friend orbits. Over the years death & distance sure has took it's toll. I'm still friends with a guy from college, 30 + years ago. He and I, like so many others can not talk for a year, and pick up like it was yesterday afternoon. Sadly, the only time the grade school gang gets together is funerals.
This is what best friends say to each other, whether it's someone you see and hear from every day or every once in awhile. Debi and Moody Blues fans may recognize the song.
