I was raised on the coast where it was fairly cheap and so was raised eating lots of fish, shrimp, crabs, and oysters. To me, these are staples like chicken and pork. We also fished and crabbed all spring and summer and most of the fall and winter. We used to buy shrimp right off the boat fifty pounds at a time.
