I heard someone mention leisure suits,we had short sleeve"Safari suits" here.They were the height of uncoolness even then.I remember I got a belting off mum after mine went missing unworn,but it was worth it.
These could have been developed to smuggle alcohol into the disco's, lol.

I have to disagree. The most stupid trend I have seen is the skinny jeans that people are stuffing themselves into, with a resulting display that makes me cringe.
