ive always found these to be fascinating and quite unexplainable, are they from alien visitors,.. were we once more advanced than we know of, and if so, what happened.,...or are they proof of time traveling visitors.

I've seen this before, very intriguing. It also could be a stylized bird with feathers and a representation of a tail. Can't explain the "head" or front part though.
