It's always cool to find these things out!
I'm always curious about filming details and trivia with a lot of films and TV series but it was def cool to find all that out. And Danny Lloyd who played 'Danny' retired after the film to become a school teacher. He was invited back for 'Doctor Sleep' as a cameo which is a sequel to the original film. Ewan McGregor (Obi Wan Kenobi in the Star Wars prequels) took over his role for the film. I haven't seen this one yet.

I'm gonna check that out. It sounds interesting, from the description on IMDB.

I'm going to check it out myself later. Might order it on amazon and watch it Friday. But I think that two films nearly fourty years apart should wrap up the Torrance storyline. That's a long time to go without a sequel.

I took my daughter hunting from when she was about 7 on. We were rooting for the hunter in the Bambi movie. Sorry, I liked to hunt and we ate what we killed. I also, being country raised, had been a part of butchering most of my life and had long before I started hunting learned to distance myself from the killing. Raise it, take care of it, treat it good, and then kill it, butcher it and eat it. Being the kid, it was often my job to go out and kill two or three rabbits or a couple of young roosters and dress them for supper. Usually, when I was dressing the chickens I had fried chicken on my mind. Fresh meat is so much better than the store-bought stuff that has been frozen and thawed. We usually BBQed the rabbits or broiled them in the oven. They were tender and delicious. That is the way it is on the farm. I would never allow a creature to suffer but death is just a part of living.
