Thirty or so years ago, alternative history books were all the rage. I read many of them, both scholarly nonfictions and novels, but those dealt with more modern history like WWII or the Cold War. This sounds like a good read about a period I have little knowledge of.

How did the Inca get to Europe? I don't remember them being a big Seafaring people. Had they had another hundred years or so before meeting up with the Europeans it might have been a different situation. The Inca seemed to be a very different sort of civilization than the one that the endless European wars developed. They had no large beasts of burden so basically, they had to carry everything themselves. This greatly limited them in so many ways.
