I was at a self-defense class many years ago and then a grey tiny praying mantis showed up on the scene a little far from where we were practicing. Since there are other kung fu styles named after praying mantises, we just made a joke that the praying mantis came to either visit or challenge our lineage. But what do you guys think of the meaning of praying mantises that are coloured grey? Any spiritual symbolism?
