The late Robert Shaw as ‘Quint’ in Jaws. A British born author, poet and playwright, Shaw wrote the infamous Indianapolis dialogue describing real life events toward the end of WWII and it’s the most memorable, chilling scene in the film. He nailed it.
There isn’t anyone else I can think of that pulled that off the way he did. He had a number of other roles but sadly died in late August of 1978 a few weeks after he turned 51 with his wife at his side. Hell of a talent.
