All, I recorded these back in Sept. This would have been at 9:20pm and about 10:45 same evening. The boom pow is impressive. Listen with headphones. The 2nd not so impressive but something made it. I've included a map of this location. The Lonny 21 recorder was nearly 16 miles....into the wilderness.

Wow looking at that picture Lon that is really in the wilderness. Are there even roads there? Did you have to hike in? Those knocks are interesting. Of course with all the wildlife out there it is hard to say what it could be. Still you are in BIg foots back yard. The knocks are pretty clear.

Yes that is FR 21, Forest road 21. It goes all the way to mount Adams which is equally amazing from pics I’ve seen. I saw a dang BMW on it. Lol. I had low profile tires and you definitely don’t want that on a road rugged road like that and yes it was pretty remote. There is nothing out there… I mean nothing but old growth forest.

Can you get cell phone service out there? Wear a transponder if you go hiking. There is more going on in our national forests than BF.

Nope! You lose signal not quite 2 miles in! Yea, I’m gonna get a gps locator. Yes. There are people who go in on foot and just vanish. I would be a perfect….candidate for this! If someone is going disappear, it would probably be me. I love to explore woods, and I plan to in July but, I plan to use the Warfare available to me, and everyone. I simply ask Archangel Michael for protection. I have never had an issue. Ever. There is a small mountain I wanna climb in Packwood, it’s the peak that everyone sees called Butter peak. The view from there should have a great view of Rainier. I plan to do this alone oneday.
