Between here and there...

While we all freeze our butts off this week, let's talk warm stuff!
From recipes, music, TV binging, to ways to warm up the house, what are you doing to survive the storms and cold?
Any helpful tips to keep the warm in and the cold out?

Right now it's hot soup in the crockpot here!

Boy, we've gone from fires to ice in a week on the Crisis Bingo Card!

Since I am mostly housebound, I just live in what Mr. Garnet calls my 'cuddle suit." It covers the whole body (the footies can be removed) and has a hood with a drawstring. After a nice hot shower, I slip into one of the three that I have.

Supplementing our gas heat with a a fire in the fireplace when needed, eating lots of stews, soups, etc. Sheena and Zoey have self heating beds, or they lie on the radiators, where I have placed cushioning for them. Plastic over the drafty windows, and lots of hot tea!

I'm in my flannels and I'm not comin' out til spring! lol

Trying to think warm thoughts here, but I still have to say I'll take this over 103 temps we had last summer. You can always add more blankets, but you can't take off enough to stay cool in the heat.

Nothing really special i will do other than wrap up in a blanket. Getting older is beginning to weigh on me as i continue to work outside in the cold weather. My younger days working in the cold still sucked, but now all i can think of is: retirement is getting closer! ;bg2
