Walmart Alert

The slogan used to be the world runs on....now, it's the world runs on apps and more apps. I want to bury my head in a wet concrete bucket and throw myself off a bridge every time i must download another app. I completely agree Bob about total control. It's scary when you see someone driving down the road doing their impression of a bobble head. They can't put the phones down, ever. So many accidents because of that and my sister was part of one. Lady on her phone smashed into my sister and now has injuries for life from it. Do you think the lady would've gotten in trouble? Nah. No fault state here. Both parties are technically at fault for being at the same place and same time, so blame is null and void and let's face it, money can buy 'no fault' as well. People don't know how to interact anymore either i mean, even when sitting next to one another, most only communicate via text and not with actual speech. They think that is interaction and it's pretty sad. Hate to keep saying it but, the world is circling the bowl because the flush has already occurred.
So sorry to hear about your sister being hurt.

I agree the powers that be are following our every move and purchase, I am sure they are also listening for key words on our phones too. There is a level of acceptance we all have allowed to keep up with technology. We have gained a lot of benefits from the deal. Weather its all worth it is up to the individuals opinion. I will admit to going along but at least knowing they are doing this allows us to be fore warned.

I was at my doctor's office and he also sees women who are expecting. Somehow my phone picked up on something and soon I was seeing ads for diapers. Since I am a grandmother, it was really creepy.

I loved Duke's idea, btw!
I CAN cry on cue, but due to mobility issues, I did what I believe was a fine job of writing a scathing but on-point reply to Walmart. I also have the ability to play up the "panicked little old lady" mode when appropriate to the need. And I have no regrets about doing it. ;)
