Upping the ante in the ongoing saga of alleged whistle-blowing time travelers is a new video in which a man claims to have built his own time machine.

In the customarily ambiguous footage, the purported time traveler, who allegedly hails from Slovenia and uses the name 'David,' reveals the 'device' and weaves a truly fantastic origin story for it.

According to his story, David spent eight years traveling the world in search of someone who either had a time machine or could build one.

And, as luck would have it, he happened upon just such a man when he ventured to France and met a person bearing the eyebrow-raising name 'Jack Lion Cousteau.'

This mysterious individual regaled David with tales of his time traveling exploits and, eventually, gave him some insights into how he built his machine.

Using that scant knowledge, David says that he managed to create his own device, which he proudly displays next to him in the video.

Alas, anyone expecting to see a futuristic-looking machine will be disappointed to learn that the homemade device looks like something cobbled together from computer parts.

While one might wish to give David the benefit of the doubt, there's one additional detail in his story that makes the entire tale more than a little suspect.

At one point, he laments that the machine only allows him to travel into the future, but later says that he has journeyed 20 times and into the distant future.

This, of course, raises the question, how did he get back to 2018 if the machine can only transport him forward in time?

Correct Lynne, I stopped watching after a few minutes.
If one was to film a true video of travelling through time, Im sure the message would be of a different kind.
