A recent move to a new apartment complex has proven to be a problem for one Las Vegas woman as she fears that her unit may be haunted!

According to Terri Bell, weird activity began happening shortly after she settled into her new home back in December.

"Woke up one morning and saw a huge black shadow, a mass, in the doorway of my bedroom," she recalled to TV station KNTV, "it scared me half to death."

Other strange happenings in the home have included unexplained smells, objects moving on their own, and sparks shooting form electrical outlets.

Bell has become so unnerved by the troubling experiences that she actually enlisted the help of both a pastor and a paranormal research group in the hopes of putting an end to her ordeal.

Although the pastor reportedly only sensed something amiss at the apartment, a psychic medium from the organization Paranormal Task Force was more forthcoming with her findings.

Tena Evans said that while her group did not discover any definitive proof of paranormal activity in Bell's home, they did spot some intriguing orbs in photos from the site could indicate the presence of a spirit.

Making matters all the more odd, a Las Vegas historian looked into the site and found that the spot where the apartment complex was built last year had been an empty lot since at least 1970.

While one might conclude that this would mean that there could be no lingering spirits associated with the location, perhaps the fact that it was undeveloped for nearly 50 years is a sign that something was 'off' about the area.

This intriguing thought exercise is likely of little interest to Bell, who simply yearns for some peace and quiet.

Unfortunately, she may have to wait for that as she signed a 12-month lease upon moving into the apartment and the complex seems unwilling to break the agreement based on her concerns that the unit is haunted.

Nobody built on the site for 50 years because they sensed something was off. There's a restaurant nearby long since closed. They even had to tear down the building because for 30 years no restaurant could make a go of it for more than a couple years. It was like a revolving door.

That makes total sense Paint. There are some places that are just not good to live on. This sounds like it’s one.
