Update on Storm toll

Update:
Helene's official death toll rises to 256+ with over 227 still missing.
Milton’s toll remains at 30
The recovery continues. Often times we don't get to hear the follow-up on these disasters as they fall off the news cycle.

Many animals were rescued as well. Many shelters have sent unclaimed pets to foster care and Pet Rescues hoping to reunite with owners if possible, or for adoptions for those who no longer have families able to take them to a home no longer there.

Those were monster storms, and I hope we get to the bottom of why the FEMA response was so limited. I am not buying it was too rural. We have so much at our government disposal, it made me sick to hear the reports. God bless the survivors.
