This is interesting because I thought the latest consensus was that the Sphinx was older than the Pyramids. This was shown by the water erosion on the monument. Boston University Geologist Robert Schoch who analyzed the stone puts it between 5000 to 10,000 years old and maybe earlier. Rowan needs to weigh in on this.
