With UFOs consistently making mainstream media headlines this year, one might wonder what the general public currently thinks of the enigmatic phenomenon and a pair of recently conducted polls on the subject seem to shed light on the matter. The first survey, conducted by Rasmussen, asked 1,000 Americans a variety of questions concerning unidentified flying objects. Perhaps the most noteworthy result from the poll is that 61% indicated that they believe that intelligent life likely exists on other planets.

While many of the UFO stories we've seen in the last year have centered around Navy pilots reporting UFOs and the potential dangers associated with those encounters, the respondents to this particular poll did not seem too concerned with the issue. To that end, a mere 12% of the people surveyed said that they believe unidentified flying objects are a threat to national security as compared to a sizeable 61% who did not. One additional interesting insight from the poll is that only 11% of the respondents said that they had either seen a UFO or knew someone who did, while a whopping 80% answered in the negative.

A similar poll conducted by the website YouGov last month asked the rather tantalizing question: does the government know "something about UFOs that is not being shared with the public?" Remarkably, more than half the people surveyed said such a scenario was either very (28%) or somewhat (26%) likely. Those two options were nearly double the group who found the idea very or somewhat unlikely (27%). Demographically, according to this survey at least, men aged 45 to 50 years old, making less than $40,000 a year, and living in either the south or northeast were most likely to be believers in a UFO cover-up.

I’d like to know how the population density in general relates to those geographical locations. Another thing to consider would be day to day schedules and things like who tends to be outside more and where, city/woods etc. You know what I mean?

There’s a guy I know and talk to over the computer who really follows UFO topics and one of his beliefs is that this recent uptick in media coverage is a part of a “disclosure” and also something, I can’t remember the term but it’s a prediction that there will be a major event (not necessarily a bad one) that is supposed to take place around 2019/2020.

I’ll have to rack my brain for a minute to think of the term. Essentially he thinks all this is preparing the public so it’s not a massive shock when it’s confirmed UFO’s, aka aliens, are indeed real.

Predictive programming perhaps?

It was something like a Pleiadian prophecy that foretold of a mass awakening of the human race and was somehow tied in with the disclosure taking place. “The Ascension” was what he called it I think.

I’m a little blurry on exactly how it went.
