I'm always amused when a UFO sighting is deemed credible because a witness says, "It wasn't an airplane, helicopter, balloon, drone, etc." Same when a witness defines speed, size, altitude, distance, etc. The fact of the matter is the overwhelming majority of people don't know much about aircraft/aviation, and are terrible at estimating performance and physical parameters.
