The "cone of silence" from "Get Smart," one of the funniest running gags in TV history. There was even a "mobile cone of silence." Neither ever worked.
Back when I was working in the black world, we had secure conference rooms that were routinely swept for bugs. Much to my boss's annoyance, I always referred to them as the "cone of silence rooms."

And of course, we cannot forget "I'm a Doctor, Jim, not an engineer" or insert whatever he wasn't as needed. Star Trek gave us a few iconic phrases!
