Time jump

I would rather be transported 500 years into the past. I am concerned that 500 years in the future is going to be Mad Max or A Boy and His Dog dystopic. Not optimistic about the future of humans on planet earth. At least 500 years in the past I have some skills that will translate and hopefully I could be a hermit, since women weren't treated very well back then,.
