Please please can someone educate me on this question.
Is it true the police have been known to consult mediums. Have you ever heard for certain they have.
I find it fascinating and I swear I heard once many many years ago that one medium helped locate the needed evidence.
Do you think police still secretly use mediums?
If anyone has anything on this topic from anywhere I would love to read about it.

I only have bad news on this respect. I was nearly arrested because of it.

I was in some kind of training session for unemployed people, and one thing that happened was a visit from the local Police by the curator of the police archives. She brought various items along and asked us to handle them and try and think what may have happened with these items. It was like one item per person, but there were small and large items including knives and an axe.
I ended up with a small white handled knife that was only about 3" long and the type you ate with, but was bent.

People started saying what they thought about their items, and each time the WPC would give an entirely different account of the actual event.

I started seeing things the moment I picked it up. I changed my grip to match what I was seeing. I saw a woman - angrily holding it out infront of her, but then a large man wearing an apron, a struggle, she ran out and he chased her with the knife uphill, up a street, to a doorway where he cornered her, and stabbed her in the neck on her right, then dragged it across with such force that it nearly took her head off.

The WPC was a bit taken aback at this, and said that it was a Butcher that was at work when his wife brought the knife in and threatened him, and that he chased her up the street then stabbed and killed her like I said - but then wanted to know where I was at the time and can I give a statement ! She was quite insistent at that.

I just explained I wasn't there and it was just a guess, but she seemed quite rattled by it.

The downside of this is that I was seeing this through His eyes - and feeling what he was feeling, and feeling what it was like to kill someone in this state of pure anger, which is not something I can forget.

I remember visiting a dungeon attraction in Edinburgh. I was physically sick in that one.
I have since learned not to touch murder weapons. I just don't want to know.

My most recent encounter with a spirit was at the start of this year when I was getting compost from a local private woodland.
While I was there just tidying up and removing rubbish I saw a girl standing around the same spot where I was digging. She was about 9yrs old, wearing a plain white nightdress and had twin plaits. Then noticed she was barefoot, and was soaking wet. Then her face changed, her eyesockets got deeper, and sort of decomposed. Then faded out.

The next time I drove past she was in the passenger seat and did the same thing.

I have a bad feeling that she is buried there, but I am not going to the Police about it just because I am suspect No.1 in any investigations, and British police like their statistics, so if that means pinning the tail on the one donkey they have then they will do that.

It seems to be about once a year, but is more dependent on where I am or are visiting rather than a timescale. I don't go looking for them anymore. I just see them if they are there. Always amazes me the details match if I get any research on them. Nothing on the girl in the wood yet, but don't know where to start on that one. It's not known to be haunted and I've not told anyone local about it.

Scotland has a lot of history to uncover if you look. Not just the tourist spots.

I've heard mediums being utilized before. I can tell you if I went to my Chief and said lets use a medium, he'd tell me to take a flying leap. I'm all for it, but it's probably not gonna happen here in the nostril of Iowa.
