I read a book on the Portuguese age of exploration. Lisbon was the richest city on Earth from the ports. Then an earthquake beneath the ocean caused a tsunami. The quake first caused the city to burn. Then it flooded. Hard to imagine the sunken treasure in the harbor.

Painted the rose window similar to that church. Caste concrete encased the stained glass. Painted flat black. Maybe not originally, but the church was built in 1894. Poles & Germans. So who really knows. Oil paints degloss over time.

We erected two 35' scaffolds at each side and put a gigantic pick board between them. Scary work. (We could not get a scissor lift or boom lift inside. ) So we did it probably how they did it back then.

Cool video.

A beautiful church. The Templar’s really influenced religion and society.

I was asked if I was interested in joining. I said no because of time constraints. But it was while I was training with longsword and was deemed "good enough".
Needless to say they still exist- and keep the old traditions.
