The "Rally" Before Death

My grandma who died from too much blood thinner, came to and talked to the nurse. The nurse called to tell us this happened and that it should have been impossible. The consistency of her blood was not conducive to even being alive. We had just left the hospital to have dinner and she passed before we could return.
I have often seen patients who wait for family to leave before passing. Often times they don't want family to "see" them go. They want the last memories to be of them alive.

I felt bad the nurse got to say the last words to her. We had no idea she would ever be conscious again.

Don't feel bad. This happens very often. She knew she was loved.
