I like just about everything so just about anything can be added to my burger. Couple of the less frequent but much loved toppers include guacamol, bacon, and fried onions or onion rings. I also prefer A-1 steak sauce over ketchup and mustard.

Oh anything. Pizza rules, so anything but pineapple. Or baked beans. Whoever put that on pizza and sold it would be so doomed if I were God. Though I haven't tried a burger with anchovies. But I would. Whatever, it should at least have lettuce and if not mustard then something like chile to give it a little kick. There's often an unholy combination of mustard, mayonaise and low suger ketchup and possibly chopped chile peppers. I've kicked bacon out out of respect for pigs. I'm pretty sure I made a burger with a fried egg in it once just to see. Sliced tomato is an obvious option, fried onion, chocolate is probably a no, and it should ideally be wider than it is tall. Height is for menus unless you are a python.

I'm pretty plain kind of guy. I'm happy with ketchup and onion. I sometimes say give me the works, except no mustard, no pickle. Good meat, in my opinion, requires little else.

Next question: is it a crime to put ketchup on a hot dog verses mustard ? Some say yes. I have never acquired the taste for mustard.
I like ketchup on my hotdogs too.

One day the Red Robin hamburger restaurant was painted. The Burger recipe book somehow got stolen. 007, the guy that pulled that off must have been a real 007.
What a coup! I live it. How many have you made?

Oktoberfest Burger.
A-1 Peppercorn Burger-
Onion roll
Bacon and pepper jack cheese.
Onion straws.
The A1 peppercorn spread is obviously A1 steak sauce, but added to a peppercorn spread that you can find in restaurant supply houses.
The burger is seasoned with Red Robin seasoning.

Along with liking about ANYTHING on a hamburger, actually a cheeseburger, we like to season the meat with all sorts of things before cooking. Our two favorites are dry onion soup mix and dry ranch dressing mix, saltless fajita seasoning goes on any meat. I like to vary the type of cheese too. Avocados, onions, fresh leaf lettuce, my wife loves tomatoes, sour pickles, Ranch dressing, mayo, salad dressing, my cocktail sauce, hot spicy mustard, JAPALINOS, Pico de gallo, potato chips, onion rings, sliced radishes, salt, pepper, All sorts of breads, I love to put a burger together on butter grilled Texas Toast (That is white bread that is twice as thick as regular bread) French bread, bollios, Rye bread makes a different sort of burger. The best burgers are cooked on a pit with hot natural wood coals. Hotdogs cooked that way are the best too.
