Drought Causes Submerged Church to Reappear - Coast to Coast AM

A chilling relic of the past reappeared from the depths of a reservoir in Mexico as a once-submerged 16th century church became visible again due to a devastating drought.

The Catholic church as well as the town it once inhabited were flooded over in 1962 as part of the construction of a dam.

But with a drought causing water levels to decrease precipitously, the church is once again visible to residents in the area.

While some may attribute the reappearance of the eerie edifice to a 'sign from above,' this is the third time such an event has happened, suggesting that the message may be falling on deaf ears.

It was a Catholic Church, so I would imagine it was in use for many years before it was flooded out with the dam and all.

It's like a time capsule
