Hi guys,
Last night a very strange thing happened that I have no answers for so wondering whether it's a possible paranormal thing and you might have an idea?
I had to get up late last night ( we all know why lol) and when I opened the door there was a sudden VERY quick extremely bright kris cross flash that made me have to turn away quickly as it was so bright. Lasted a nano second.
I thought at first it was lightening but it seemed too quick for that and the shape of it was a very thin line in a criss cross shape. It really took me by surprise.
We live in a dark street, no street lights, our corridor light wasn't on, and again, just the shape was very strange.
I'm epileptic but not of the photo sensitive type, but this flash triggered of the first sign of a photo sensitive fit. Thankfully nothing came of it
Has anyone got any ideas what it could have been? I was fully awake so not in a dreamy state

My first thought would be some type of brain event. Moving around in the dark, the brain could be trying to collect data firing a certain way, affecting your visuals briefly. Being epileptic, perhaps it could have been a very minor episode. Hard to say, chakra. I wouldn't rule out the paranormal just yet so, just keep an eye out for other stuff that may occur. There's so much stuff we don't understand, it certainly keeps us guessing more often than we like lol.

I think from now on I'll be putting the light on when duty calls , lol
i was going to ask if it was dark in the house...then saw this response. could have been caused by eye strain to see in the dark..... forcing oneself to focus in the dark is hard on the eyes. let your eyes adjust and "focus on the horizon" in really dark places. less strain and easier to see...... that would be my first guess over the paranormal...... any chance a transformer or junction box fried out outside?..... those can be extremely bright and quick.

Not that I know off.? After what selectric wrote, I do think now it was to do with my epilepsy and I had a slight photo sensitive episode which is annoying as that means my controlled epilepsy has slightly altered. It might be a one off but I will keep an eye on any other unusual things happening.

Perceived light flashes are a symptom of occular migraines. Did you experience the flash in both eyes or only one eye? Do you usually wear eyeglasses/contact lens, and if so, were you wearing them at the time of the "flash?"

Both eyes, I don't wear glasses. Such a mystery, but I do think it's an alteration in me somewhere. I need rewiring I think

Out of curiosity (and decidely none of our business), but when was your last eye exam? Do you normally see an optometrist or an ophthalmologist?
