A corollary to that is no longer having to keep an eye on the calendar/clock when planning a long distance call. I never seemed to be able to make Mrs Duke understand it was cheaper to call long distance in the evenings and on weekends.

When I was a kid I was allowed to sit with my Dad in bars. As long as I swiveled around the stool and kept my back to the bar it was legal. (Regionally legal).
