Hovering 'Slow-Moving Blob' Caused White House Lockdown
On Tuesday, there was a brief scare at the White House after a supposed 'hovering object' had triggered a lockdown in the nation's capital.
Officials are still bewildered as to what could have caused the lockdown exactly, however, they have postulated that it was triggered as a result of airspace violation.
“We don’t know what the hell it was,” one security source told Fox News.
The incident had resulted in jets soaring the skies in search of what had triggered the security system. Officers have also observed warning people and to stay clear of the Capitol facilities premises. Additionally, members of the U.S. Secret Service were given orders to remain in place at the White house. Once security personnel told Fox new that they had no idea what it was. They however that it could have been caused by a drone, bird or even a possible weather anomaly.
Subsequent to the incident, security officials were given conflicting information with regards to the location and speed of the unknown hovering object. They were given speed data measured in knots according to an unnamed source. Still, they were unaware of what it was.

According to Fox News, security officials had stated that the incident had triggered "Air Con Orange". “Air Con Orange" means that an unidentified aircraft is infiltrating the security bubble surrounding Washington. Typically “Air Con Orange" only lasts for a few minutes before officials have to decide whether to upgrade or downgrade the threat. However, in this instance, neither decisions were made but Capitol Police officials sent a notification indicating a potential threat at 8: 30 a.m. Subsequently, people were allowed to enter back onto the premises after 30 minutes.
