Skinwalker Ranch (Updates)

Last night was the two part finale for this year. I have to say I'm impressed with the amount of data they collected and the fact they were able to have repeatable data! The addition of AI to help sift through all of this will be a huge leap forward and I look forward to next year (that they are taping now.)

Of course, many of us are going to have withdrawal from our Tuesday night fix.

Someone mentioned earlier they need to include "time" as a factor in the data, and I was reminded last night they have had at least two instances of catching time differences in the data.

I have mixed feelings on their decision to use AI for analyzing data. On paper its a "No brainer" since analyzing huge amounts if data is what AI dies best. However this is Skinwalker Ranch.

Remember what happened to Chucks star map data when he had his telescope out there?

Remember when they were digging and Kaleb's phone started going crazy? It was unlocking itself, dialing random numbers and if I remember correctly changing the language.

Remember the team from UAPX who had their mobile "Osiris" system setup in a truck to monitor rocket launches. Everytime they did the launch countdown it was "5-4-3-2- WTF! The whole system just shut down"

Not to mention the numerous failures of drones, rockets, digging equipment and aircraft.

What precautions can they take to avoid these kinds of issues happening to an AI system?

Wow! I didn’t think about this. We will just have to wait and see what happens.

I wonder if the AI is actually "on-site" or off-site, with data being fed to it off the property.
That's how I would do it if I were them. Transfer all data to some separate device or drive and have someone drive it to Salt Lake City and load it into an AI machine kept in the basement of a secure facility.

Don't have confirmation yet, however, this came from a source directly related to SWR.

Travis just announced on SWR that the next season will start November 7th

If this is the case, they must have found something pretty big and don't want it leaking out. OR he meant filming was beginning again, but they normally don't film in winter.
