Whale vomit ain’t cheap but a little goes a long way . It is priceless... well..... 1.5 million worth .

Concerns me that when people read of something like this a lot of Sperm whales will go missing...about 1 in 5 has ambergris. It’s kinda like whale musk

A dear friend once gave me a box of perfume samples. The bottles were small, but elegant and they looked pretty in a silver tray on the dresser.

I know 8 oz Shalimar! I added more today bottles. I am like the weirdo who plays witt toy soldiers but I use vintage perfume bottles. I wanted to set out all my rarest bottles and then start grouping...Here is today's photo..

I had a perfume class today and I learned 1. Ambergris is not just whale vomit,it is actually a mucousy lining a whale produces to coat it's stomach so it doesn't get scraped by the cuttlefish and spiny things they eat. Mixed in with sun and salt and voila!
2. The best time to smell perfume is 11am
