Reward from NASA for meteorite

If I lived in the area, I'd be looking. idk how they know what to look for though.

They usually have a lot of iron in them and meteorite hunters use metal detectors.

I'm an old metal detector geek and I once found what I thought might be a meteorite. I took some photos of it and sent them to a university geology department but the guy there said it wasn't so I tossed it. Later I began to think he was wrong and I wish I'd hung onto it to get another opinion. It was about the size of a softball, heavy and full of iron.

Cool find. I could see myself hunting for meteorite residue
