This, Steve, This...Steve, I'm 67. I remember when the TV signed off for the night at midnight. You're still a puppy in my time line.
My brother had one of those; that popping sound drove me nuts, lol. They were peel and stick caps used on toy bullets in cap pistols. Very popular when TV westerns were all the rage in the 50s-60s.
What kind of child-hating sadist came up with non-absorbent toilet paper? It was disgusting! Perhaps it was to stop us from wetting it and throwing it at the ceiling.Reminded me of the one-waxy-sheet-at-a-time toilet paper dispensers in schools. I hated those as much as I did the powered soap and rotating cloth towel used to dry your hands.
I remember we'd sniff that stuff! lol Got a little high off of those papers! lolI remember the mimeograph ink smell when we were given notices to take home to our parents; a sort of citrusy smell!
Oh, and the black and white pattern appeared after the Star Spangled Banner player. Jeezers I forgot that Debi.Steve, I'm 67. I remember when the TV signed off for the night at midnight. You're still a puppy in my time line.
Seems like there was a student or two in every class who would sniff their hot-off-the-machine test papers as they were handed out.I remember we'd sniff that stuff! lol Got a little high off of those papers! lol
