Marilyn Manson Reveals That He’ll Have a Role in New Adaptation of Stephen King’s “The Stand”

CBS All Access has given a 10-episode order to a series adaptation of Stephen King‘s 1978 novel “The Stand,” with Josh Boone co-writing & directing and stars like James Marsden, Amber Heard, Whoopi Goldberg, Greg Kinnear, Odessa Young and Henry Zaga coming up in the most recent story about the series. Who else is on board? Marilyn Manson!

In a chat with Revolver, Manson just revealed that he’ll have a role in the series.

Shooter [Jennings} and I did a cover of “The End” by the Doors, for a new miniseries of The Stand by Stephen King, which I’m also going to be acting in,” Manson told Revolver.

Manson and Jennings are working on a collaboration album, due out later this year.

The series will bring to life King’s vision of a world decimated by plague and embroiled in an elemental struggle between good and evil. The fate of mankind rests on the frail shoulders of the 108-year-old Mother Abagail and a handful of survivors. Their worst nightmares are embodied in a man with a lethal smile and unspeakable powers: Randall Flagg, the Dark Man.
