I haven't read the entire article, but already found a flaw. Sunspots are not black. They appear black because the surrounding areas are much, much brighter. Isolated, they would be hotter than white-hot and blindingly bright.

The reflectivity of the moon's surface is about that of earthly coal. It appears blinding bright to our eye because of the darkness of the space surrounding it. It's all relative.

I have heard this theory before. I believe it is promoted by the ones who believe in the secret space program and time travel. They do not ever have scientific evidence but the stories are fun.
