Hi everyone I’m Shelley from ParanormalEncountersUK. I’m was just wanting to ask what it’s like investigating in other countries apart from the uk. What’s your best equipment to use? Do you think the app based equipment is real. Our team likes to stay away from the apps but I would like others opinions it. We like to use the evp recorder and I’m very excited for our team to get the sls camera.

Hi Shelley! Well, I'm not an app fan at all. I know some people claim to have had success with them, but many of those apps come with a few hidden dangers.

As for differences in investigative techniques, I have to admit not being familiar with how the UK teams run their investigations. I think, like most teams, there are variances in equipment selected, but I think the biggest difference for me is when a team in working a home haunting is whether or not they are also available to the family to help resolve it, not just investigate it. Does your team continue to help the family afterwards?

We don’t do home investigations, it’s either abandoned buildings or haunted places that we pay to go into investigate. A lot of the paranormal groups here in the uk that do home investigations do offer support for the families and they help the spirit move on to be with their loved ones.

Good to know about you! Looking forward to seeing some of those investigations. I believe you have a youtube channel?

Yes we do, we haven’t got enough followers on there yet to do a live. You have to have 1000 followers, I think that’s why we’re good on Facebook because we do lives on there.

Hi Shelley! I doubt that most investigations here differ much from yours. There are numerous groups in each State here, and some take it seriously, but it seems that most simply mimic what they have seen on the all too numerous TV shows dealing with the paranormal, which is sad. Myself and my group only use Digital audio recorders, Digital video cameras with IR, and Game cameras. Any of the app based stuff is complete junk, and has no business in this field, just as most of the "gadgets" that are used on TV are. These are simply my opinions. Best of luck!
