A pair of purported psychics in Pennsylvania have been arrested for allegedly bilking two women out of more than $600,000 in what authorities described as a "fortune telling scheme."

While I am glad that they were arrested, I can't help but wonder at people who so readily turn over large amounts of money to so called psychics.

They did not state the ages of the victims, but I would be willing to bet if they had that much money to fork over they may have been older widows desperately seeking love and companionship. Very much like the phishing scams pulled over the phone. Starts small and then begins to grow until they're in deep and trapped. Sounds like the perps added in some blackmail there at the end.

My younger sister is foolish with money and so-called psychic scam artists. She paid one of them hundreds of dollars.
