Orange Cats Are Genetically Unlike Any Other Mammal and Now We Know Why

I actually have one of the rarest cats because I have a full orange female. Only about 20% of orange cats are female, so a female orange is considered a very rare thing.

As far as the rumors about behavior? I've had many other cats. I'm telling you my orange has shown me they have a few issues with sharing the one brain cell rumored to be shared by all oranges. lol

I would think that light colored animals in general would be easy to spot among predictors and thus not live long enough to reproduce.

They would stick out. When I used to catch rabbits over here though, I went right out west where the soil is a red color and most of the rabbits had a sandy ginger color that blended in. I'd imagine cats might be the same in desert areas.

Cats are just wonderful creatures. They all have unique personalities which is why they are unpredictable and fun. I have had cats of all colors and have loved them all.
