Opposite of Deja Vu

I think we've all had our share of brain farts through the years. Still think the oddest experience with this is when you are speaking to a family member or a very close friend and all of a sudden, you become unfamiliar with this very familiar person. It's kind of hard to explain but, it's not like you forget who they are, only they feel foreign to you in that tiny fraction of a second. Perhaps your brain decides to compute something else for that second or an early sign of brain degradation or maybe something deeper than the explainable?

I was thinking of that exact thing, but wasn't sure how to explain it. I have had that experience multiple times.

It's quite strange and hard to explain. The fact we are aware of it as it happens and afterwards should mean it isn't a brain issue, i assume. In the split second after it happens usually followed by questioning how did i get here. It isn't followed by this isn't my beautiful house or this isn't my beautiful wife and there's water at the bottom of the ocean...Couldn't resist, sorry lol. ;bg2
