New Creepy House Audio Dec 2024

A very long distance and yea, I've watched several train hopping vids. They are definitely modernizing train hopping with Youtube.
Well, if there are people using the place, I'd say they're more likely to be hermitic squatters than homeless drifters.

I do remember reading an article about a "sport" called something like extreme freestyle hiking. They can be on the trail for months, often alone. Some prefer to avoid others totally and live off the land. There were a few stories about hikers taking "liberties" for a place to sleep or something to eat, like letting themselves in barns, shed, abandoned homes, etc. You'd think these folks would have maps/GPS data sharing of isolated places to bed down, certainly something more advanced than hobo symbology.

Listened to a few you had on sound cloud site. One of them really sounds like someone walking around then opens up a soda or beer can and sets it down. Definitely human presence there.
Yes, 25 seconds into the 2nd posted audio....as a former beer drinker, that! is definitely a beer can being opened. From my ear...all of it points to a person or people squatting there.
I was homeless for 6 years, traveled via rail all over the country, lived among the drifter people. Many have alcohol issues and/or mental health issues. They do not like other human interaction unless it benefits them in some way. The hobo chart would work for the old heads only. Sadly the younger homeless do not use it. Also a thing homeless do is clean up enough so that it does not appear as if they are staying there, for a list of reasons.

Be careful, and leaving some food behind is a good idea. If you do encounter someone, keep your distance ;)

I hear ya. I believe you. This is however year # 3 that we have gotten lots of action in the audio. If it were squatters, they are long time residents. And, this goes to Scott too, why bang on walls? Why drag things on the ground jus to make noise, why slam things around especially....if you know someone is already in the valley? I'm a pretty decent tracker doing Bigfoot research, I look for the physical evidence. There isn't any. That does make sense to keep refuse, etc down as to not draw attention to you.

( Not making light of this, but this is really creepy.)

More House Audio.
The one sounds almost like a 'snark' (snot rocket) and the weird noise was something raking against a hvac register or vent. Maybe hiding place for stash or trash? I rewatched your walk through video from last year and did not see any registers, vents or returns but did see ductwork under bathroom sink in attic. Also did see metal oven racks that were on kitchen counter. Not sure how much different place is since then.
