So I started watching "Alien Earth" and I am hooked after only watching half of episode one of season one. :O
In the beginning of the show, the idea of immortality is presented being accomplished in 3 ways.
1. Cybernetics 2. AI androids(Synthetics) 3. Human conscious uploaded into Synthetics ( Hybrid)
As I watched a little girl who suffered from a terminal illness undergo this transformation to Hybrid, I wondered. Would it be worth it? To live forever and loose certain things that made you who you are prior to the transfer?

I tend to agree with you Lynne, however I acknowledge the primal instinct humans have to survive. I fear I could or would at the last moment, idk...

That is a truthful response and perhaps we all might change our mind at the last moment.

I would like to think i would not want to be downloaded into a robot body. To live forever here would mean i wouldn't get to 'live elsewhere'. At present, that won't jive with me.
