NASA plans new telescope to find aliens

It's getting crowded up there lol. Curious when the OSJRU (Obsolete Space Junk Removal Unit) will be sent up there? ;bg3

They are gonna need one big garbage bin for that collection!
 
There are designs on the drawing board, and proof-of-concept tests being organized on space junk removal.

I remember, decades ago, Carl Sagan said that if we could build a good enough telescope, we could look for methane in the atmospheres of earthlike planets, which would be a giveaway for biological activity (animal flatulence).

I'd rather they use those billions to remove the junk from our own planet. Like in the oceans, for instance.
