NASA Delays Moon Landing to 2025 | Coast to Coast AM

Those looking forward to seeing humans return to the moon in the near future are going to have to wait a little while longer as NASA's ambitious plan to pull off the feat by 2024 has been delayed by at least a year.

Odd that the reason given is we won’t be technically ready by 2025. We already did it with a Commodore 64 and an erector set in 1959. What’s really going on here?

Well, in 1959 we could barely get a 30-lb. satellite into orbit, and only after hundreds of tests blew up on the ground first. Commodore was still 15 years in the future.
I'm sure they are trying to not have to go through those hundreds of launchpad explosions this time.

Getting a living crew to the moon in 1969 took a lot more blood and treasure than the Vanguard satellite, and will this time too.
